The Rezidor Hotel Group recently signed for two new prizeotel properties; one in Vienna and one in Düsseldorf.
The brand new prizeotel Vienna-City will represent the debut of the affordable and high-design prizeotel brand in Austria. Located near the Danube River, the property will house 294 keys and is scheduled to inaugurate in Q1 of 2022.
Meanwhile, prizeotel Düsseldorf-City will form part of $610 million project entitled ‘Grand Central’, which upon completion will be a new business district in Düsseldorf. The hotel will house 250 economy-design rooms and will also open in 2022.
Executive vice president and chief development officer, The Rezidor Hotel Group, Elie Younes remarked: “I am very proud of the momentum that Rezidor has created for prizeotel’s growth across Europe. prizeotel’s arrival in two of the most vibrant business and tourism hubs of Europe – Vienna and Düsseldorf – is perfectly in line with our newly launched asset-right growth strategy.”
Also commenting was founder and CEO, prizeotel, Marco Nussbaum: “Having a property so close to the new Viennese train station allows us to remain true to our strategy – focusing on central locations in the core markets of the German-speaking region, and beyond. The prizeotel brand is gaining momentum, and – from its successful origins in Bremen – we have expanded to a range of locations, offering more than 1,900 rooms featuring ‘affordable high design.”
